How to lay artificial turf?
1. The land in the side garden slopes outward at 30 degrees, so we spent a lot of time backfilling the land and filling up the excess mud. Save a lot of money pouring mud.
2. Use tamper to grind the ground. If you can, it is recommended to borrow the machine. Tamper is easy to operate in corners. I only do two hours a day so I can't borrow a machine.
3 Pave gravel and then pour sand. Another option is to flatten the gravel (4in.), put a grass repellent cloth, and level it with sand (2in.). Personally, I think you can choose the latter if you're worried about standing water. I prefer to lay gravel > sand > grass repellent because of my land. The face of the fence is slanted, not completely flat, and the grass repellent cloth allows water to flow directly from the surface outside the fence.
4 Last is to spread fake grass on the grass repellent cloth. You can contact us to purchase fake grass. I ordered a complete piece of fake grass of 8ft x 20ft, which does not need to be spliced. The actual area is 7x20. It is suggested to order 1ft more. The main price is cheap, we can customize according to your requirements wide length same area and thickness (1.37 in.).
5 Fix the four corners of the fake grass to the ground with 10in. Nails and then 6in.c nails at 6in intervals. Hit one. In the middle of the fake grass I used a 6in. U-shaped nail set per 3ft. (Electroplating is recommended for nails)
The edge is made of 2x6in. anticorrosive wood and painted with a layer of black paint. The cutting edge of the wood is edged with anticorrosive paint. Using wood is mainly cheap.
"infill, I chose white sand to hold down the fake turf. Beautiful and good-looking!
